A car crashed into an abandoned house in Randolph County, completely demolishing it Tuesday evening.

RANDOLPH — A car crashed into an abandoned house in Randolph County, completely demolishing it Tuesday evening.

The driver ran through a stop sign at a three-way intersection and straight into the house, said State Highway Patrol officers.

The house is located at 5077 Lewis Brown Road,  right on the Randolph County/Chatham County line.

The driver, whose name has not been released, was flown to UNC Hospitals but did not suffer life-threatening injuries, said troopers.

Police said charges against the driver are pending.
