Capital Boulevard Reopens After Multi-Vehicle Accident

Authorities said at least four vehicles were involved in an accident early Thursday morning in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — An accident caused some minor delays early Thursday for motorists heading into Raleigh.

At least four vehicles were involved in the accident near the intersection of Capital Boulevard and Deana Road shortly after 7 a.m., authorities said. Two cars were involved in the initial accident and were then rear-ended by two other cars.

Some injured people were reportedly transported to WakeMed, but police declined to release more details.

Five southbound lanes of Capital Boulevard were blocked as crews worked to remove the wreckage.

Police said the scene was cleared by 8:47a.m., and all lanes of Capital Boulevard have since reopened to traffic.
