ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — More than 100 heads of cabbage were stolen from a community garden operated by Habitat for Humanity of Rocky Mount, officials said Monday.

A Habitat volunteer discovered the theft over the weekend, and officials were expected to file a police report Monday, said Lee Modlin, who operates the nonprofit's local store. He said he wasn't sure if any other vegetables were taken from the garden, which is off Cokey Road in Rocky Mount.
