Electronics firm bringing 155 jobs to Durham
A company that makes printed circuit boards and electronic systems plans to open an operation in Durham, creating 155 jobs, officials said Thursday.

ACW Technology Inc., which also provides logistics, testing and repair facilities, is expected to invest $4.9 million in the plant over the next three years.
A subsidiary of England-based ACW Technology Ltd., the company's digital, analog and radio frequency electronics are used in the commercial, aerospace and defense markets.
“We like the high-technology pool of resources, availability of qualified work force and the strength of the supply base. Durham, centrally located in the Southeast, will allow us to serve future customers in the U.S. region,” Jeffrey Benes, company vice president and general manager, said in a statement.
Workers at the Durham plant will assemble the circuit boards and place them into other devices.
ACW said the average wage paid at the plant would be $33,457, plus benefits.
The company has qualified to receive a $50,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.
The fund provides financial assistance, through local governments, to attract business projects that will stimulate economic activity and create jobs in the state. Companies must meet job creation and investment targets to obtain the money.
