MORRISVILLE, N.C. — All Lenovo and NEC employees in Japan have been accounted for after last week's earthquake and tsunami and are safe, officials said Monday.

To help the region recover from the disaster, Lenovo has created a $1 million relief fund, and the company is working with its management team in Japan to quickly identify and channel funds to the appropriate relief organizations.

Lenovo employees can donate to the relief effort through the Lenovo Hope Fund, administered through the Triangle Community Foundation, beginning this week.
