RALEIGH, N.C. — Stock Building Supply said Thursday that it will shrink its eastern Pennsylvania business from three centers to one, keeping all its product line but cutting an unspecified number of workers.

Stock is bringing operations into a 32-acre facility in Paradise, Pa. One of the closing locations is in Kinzers.

"To remain competitive in the building industry, Stock is evaluating our business structure in all of our markets. Because our three Pennsylvania properties are in close proximity to each other, we are consolidating into one property to streamline our operations and become more efficient," Steve Short, chief operating officer, said in an announcement.

Joe Appelmann, Stock’s president and CEO, said about 100 people work at the three locations. he did not specify how many of those would have jobs in the consolidated supply center.

The company, which emerged from bankruptcy in June, announced this summer that it was cutting 81 jobs in Raleigh.
