<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Developers have submitted a proposal to build a shopping center on 28 acres near Cross Creek Mall.

CBL & Associates, which owns Cross Creek Mall, plans to develop The Avenue Cross Creek on an undeveloped plot along Glensford Drive between Red Tip and Camp Ground roads. The center would include 11 retail buildings and three out parcels, totaling almost 200,000 square feet of retail space.

Plans filed with the city don't specify any store names.
