BURLINGTON, N.C. — Burlington police are investigating a hit-and-run crash Thursday that left two people with injuries.

Police said the incident happened about 6:45 p.m. in the 2100 block of Chapel Hill Road. Melissa Donnell, 33, of Burlington told officers she was driving her 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer west on Chapel Hill Road when she was struck by a white 2000 Chevrolet Silverado.

The vehicle rear-ended the Trailblazer as Donnell slowed to make a right turn, according to police. The driver of the Silverado did not stop.

Donnell was treated at the scene for minor injuries. A juvenile passenger was taken to Alamance Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Anyone with information is asked to call Burlington police at 336-229-3542.
