DURHAM, N.C. — Gunshots fired near Durham Regional Hospital Saturday night sent a bullet through the window of a fifth-story patient's room, police said.

No one was injured, and the room was unoccupied at the time, a hospital spokesperson said.

Durham police said officers responded to a call of "shots fired" at 800 Stadium Drive about 9:50 p.m. The location is directly across from the hospital at 3643 N. Roxboro Road.

A 19-year-old man told officers he was outside a party when shots were fired at him from a vehicle and he was struck in the leg. He was taken to Durham Regional with minor injuries.
