Brother charged in slaying of 60-year-old

A 65-year-old Zebulon man has been charged with shooting and killing his 60-year-old brother Thursday night, according to the Wake County Sheriff's Office.

ZEBULON, N.C. — A 65-year-old Zebulon man has been charged with shooting and killing his 60-year-old brother Thursday night, according to the Wake County Sheriff's Office.

Tommy Bristol Jordan was charged with murder in the death of David Rex Jordan, according Richard Johnson, chief of staff for the sheriff's office. Tommy Jordan was placed in the Wake County jail.

The brothers were the only ones in their home at 2613 Jack Mitchell Road when the shooting occurred around 10 p.m., Johnson said.

Detectives were working to determine a motive amid an ongoing investigation.
