Breastfeeding 'cafe' opens in Raleigh
The weekly gathering is for nursing moms and pregnant moms who have questions about breastfeeding.
Posted — UpdatedThis month, the store at 2012 Fairview Rd. near downtown Raleigh, began to host La Leche League breastfeeding cafes from noon to 1 p.m. Thursdays. These are casual, drop-in programs that are free. You're welcome to chat and bring your lunch. And babies are always welcome. It's a good chance to get some support (which, at least for me, is critical to a successful breastfeeding experience).
La Leche League in Wake County offers breastfeeding cafes elsewhere in the county.
The RTP Breastfeeding Cafe meets from noon to 1 p.m. every Wednesday at the Diapering Doula, 4109 Grace Park Dr. in Morrisville.
The Western Wake Breastfeeding Cafe is from noon to 1:30 p.m. Fridays at the Itsy Bitsy Baby Spa, 1055 Darrington Dr., Cary.
