RALEIGH, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier was sentenced Monday to six years in federal prison for downloading child pornography, authorities said.

Staff Sgt. Daryl Wingfield Hazam, 26, of Fayetteville, pleaded guilty in September to receipt of child pornography. An investigation determined Hazam, who was assigned to an Army Special Forces unit, had been downloading child pornography onto his computer, and a forensic examination found 300 illicit pictures and three videos of young children.
