FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — An 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper was killed late Friday in a four-vehicle wreck in Fayetteville, police said Tuesday.

Spc. James Guynon, 23, of Houston, was eastbound on Legend Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Friday when he failed to stop for a stop sign at the Skibo Road intersection, police said. His 2005 Mitsubishi was hit by three northbound vehicles – a 2003 Kia, a 1994 Chevrolet and a 2006 Jeep.

Guynon was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he died. The drivers of the other vehicles weren't injured, police said.

Guynon was a warehouse logistics clerk with Headquarters Company, 307th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team at Fort Bragg.
