Bragg soldier found dead in Fayetteville apartment
A soldier stationed at Fort Bragg was found dead in a Fayetteville apartment Friday morning, the 82nd Airborne Division announced Sunday.

The death of Sgt. 1st Class Jeffrey Griffey, 37, of Byron Center, Mich., is under investigation, authorities said
Griffey, an air movement liaison with the 82nd Airborne Division Headquarters, was assigned to Headquarters Company, 782nd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team.
He joined the Army in 1993 and arrived at Fort Bragg in 2006. He served two combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and was awarded numerous medals and decorations, including the Army Commendation Medal and Army Achievement Medal.
No other information was released.
