Another sign that summer is coming: Koka Booth Amphitheatre's Movies by Moonlight series starts this Friday.

The annual series features outdoor movies. Proceeds benefit WakeMed Children's Hospital. Tickets are $5 and kids under 12 get in for free. You're welcome to bring a blanket or chair to set up on the amphitheatre's big lawn. Movies start at about 8:30 p.m. when it's dark. Gates open at 7 p.m. Picnics are welcome.

Not every movie is friendly for all ages, so be sure to note the ratings. Here's the schedule. I've included all of the movies, but have highlighted those rated G or PG. Still, parental discretion is advised. "Dead Poets Society" is rated PG, but I'm not sure my older daughter is ready for that one! The amphitheatre's website has more information about the series.
