Boil water advisory issued for Cary neighborhood
A water main break caused the disruption in service Tuesday morning, officials said, and, while the water main was fixed before 5 p.m., the town said it could be another 24 hours before water quality is confirmed and the advisory is lifted.

A water main break caused the disruption in service Tuesday morning, officials said, and, while the water main was fixed before 5 p.m., the town said it could be another 24 hours before water quality is confirmed and the advisory is lifted.
No businesses in the area were affected, but residents are advised to boil water for at least three minutes for the following activities:
Cleaning dishes
“The Town is working to resolve this situation as quickly as possible, and we regret the impact to our community,” the town's utilities director Jamie Revels said in a statement. “The Town will notify customers when there is no further need to boil water as a precaution.”
