Body found on Raleigh greenway identified as homeless man

The man was identified as Aaron Marin Zugaide, 62, who lived homelessly in the area of South Saunders Street.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police on Thursday identified the body of a man found in a wetland in the 1800 block of South Saunders Street Sunday morning.

The man was identified as Aaron Marin Zugaide, 62, who lived homelessly in the area of South Saunders Street.

Authorities do not believe foul play was involved in the death.

Anybody who had recent contact with Zugaide or was familiar with him is asked to call the Raleigh Police Department’s tip line at 919-834-4357.
