Five Fave Pet friendly restaurants

Let's face it, when you are a pet owner a lot of your life is dictated by your pet. When you go outside, when you go out of town, when you go to sleep and even where you eat, but admit it, you love it! We hate leaving our four legged friends at home so WRAL reporter Tara Lynn and Out and About's Tara Whitfield teamed up to find the best pet-friendly restaurants in the Triangle so you won't have to dine without your pup again!

World of Beer (Raleigh)- Grab a brew with your crew at the World of Beer in North Hills. The bar has a nice shaded outdoor patio perfect for enjoying the afternoon with your pups! It's also a perfect place to watch a favorite sports game on TV without leaving your dogs at home. The manager has a big heart for animals and welcomes people and their dogs to the patio. World of Beer recently hosted a meet and greet for the SPCA of Wake County at which many people had a chance to meet some adorable adoptable dogs.

Cafe Caturra (Raleigh)- Cafe Caturra is one of our absolute favorite places to eat and bring our dogs! Located in Cameron Village, the restaurant has comfortable outdoor seating and the staff greet your pups with their own water bowl to stay hydrated. It's a laid back atmosphere and you don't have to worry about going inside to order and wonder what to do with your dog. You can grab a seat outside and a server will bring you a menu.
Boylan Brew Pub (Raleigh)- Enjoy a view of downtown and outdoor breezes with your dog at Boylan Brew Pub in downtown Raleigh. You'll want to arrive early as the outdoor patio always fills up quickly when the weather is warm. Try to find a spot along the outside of the dining area so your pup isn't in the way of servers. The staff is friendly and they also provide water bowls for pups!
Tyler's Taproom (Durham)- Located in the American Tobacco Historic District, next to the Durham Bull’s athletic park, Tyler's great location and awesome patio make it one of our favorite places to dine in Durham. The biggest plus of course being that you can bring your pooch! The servers will bring your dog a water bowl as well as treats for well behaved pups while you can quench your thirst with one of their many craft and speciality import beers on tap.
Weathervane (Chapel Hill)- If your looking for somewhere a little more elegant but still not to stiff where your dog may need a tie, Weathervane is the perfect place to go. Located next to A Southern Season in Chapel Hill you can enjoy dinner out on their beautiful garden patio and also do a little shopping!
If you are in the mood for something sweet, consider Henry's Gelato. There are several locations around the Triangle. The company says they consulted with a veterinarian to come up with a frozen treat just for dogs called K9 Crunch! It's a peanut butter flavored gelato sorbet, but does not contain dairy and is low in sugar. Tara Lynn's dogs give it four paws up!

Lucky for us the Triangle is full of places that allow you to bring your K-9s along so choosing our five favorites was extremely hard. A few others that deserve an honorable mention include Village Draft in Raleigh, The Southern Rail in Carrboro, Brixx Pizza in Chapel Hill, Raleigh Times in Raleigh and Player's Retreat in Raleigh.

What are some of your favorite places to bring you four legged friends out to dine in the Triangle?
