CLAYTON, N.C. — A 2-year-old girl fighting cancer has lost one of her few sources of happiness – a beloved activity she enjoys for hours at home.

Sara Beth Bagley, was diagnosed with cancer when she was only 4 months old, spends much of her waking hours being treated for brain cancer. When she's home, her favorite activity is riding on her family's golf cart.

Sadly, the golf cart was stolen right from the driveway of her family's Clayton home. The neighbor's Ring doorbell video caught the thief walking across the yard, and the Bagley family's Ring doorbell showed him casually driving away.

"It's one of her few sources of happiness," said Adam Bagley, Sara's father.

Her mother Rachel Bagley said, "Adam came in and told me he couldn't find the golf cart, and I just looked at him like, are you kidding?"

The Bagleys are devastated.

They say they really wish the person who stole it knew their daughter's story, so they would've thought twice before taking the golf cart – a sick child's source of joy and laughter.

"I feel like I would just ask him to bring it back. It’s not for us. We have it for our daughter, and she’s going through a really rough time," said Rachel.

On Thursday morning, Sara Beth kept asking: "Golf cart? Ride golf cart?"

Her parents, heartbroken, had to tell her no.

"The golf cart is like her one joy, her one ride that she gets to do here at home," say her parents.

The family is hoping their toddler's beloved golf cart will be returned. Even if somebody wanted to drop it off in the middle of the night, they said that would be okay.

A family friend has set up a GoFundMe page to try and raise money for a new golf cart.

If you have any information on the thief, you can call the Johnston County Sheriff's Office at (919) 989-5010.
