Autopsy: Woman found by Garner road died of head trauma
A woman found unconscious on the shoulder of a Garner road last month died of blunt force trauma to her head, according to an autopsy report.

A passing driver found Mayela Orduna on the shoulder of Aversboro Road near Old Scarborough Lane on Feb. 17. She died eight hours later.
Orduna's boyfriend, Spencer Bolick, told police that she attended a party at his apartment before her death. He said the two argued at the party, then left in his 1993 Crown Victoria.
Bolick told police that Orduna jumped from the car as he drove along Aversboro Road.
Orduna died of a head injury consistent with exiting a moving car, according to the autopsy report.
A toxicology report released by the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner showed no alcohol in her blood, but the autopsy report indicated alcohol was present in a blood sample taken shortly after she was admitted to WakeMed.
Police are investigating the case as a "suspicious death," Garner police spokesman Sgt. Chris Clayton said, but no charges have been filed.
