Authorities probe second fire at Durham home in one week

The Durham Fire Department is investigating a suspicious fire at a home on Durbin Place Tuesday morning. The same home caught fire exactly one week ago, hours after police responded to a domestic dispute there.

DURHAM, N.C. — The Durham Fire Department is investigating a suspicious fire at a home on Durbin Place Tuesday morning. The same home caught fire one week ago, hours after police responded to a domestic dispute there.

The second story of 2 Durbin Place was destroyed in Tuesday's fire. No one was injured.

When firefighters arrived at the scene around 10:30 a.m., the power had been cut off and the home was empty. 

Both blazes are under investigation by the Durham Fire Department and Durham Police Department, who are working together to determine whether they were intentionally set.
