Authorities issue Silver Alert for 73-year-old Franklin County man

Authorities in Franklin County were searching early Friday for a 73-year-old man who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

LOUISBURG, N.C. — Authorities in Franklin County were searching early Friday for a 73-year-old man who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Charles Lee Spivey at about 1:15 a.m. after disappeared from a home in the 400 block of Strickland Road in Louisburg.

Spivey is 5 feet 1 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes. When he went missing, Spivey was wearing a gray T-shirt and tan pants. Authorities said Spivey could be headed toward Zebulon.
