<b>CLAYTON, N.C.</b> — Wake County deputies located a missing 13-year-old Clayton boy early Friday.

Christian Chavez went missing from the backyard of his family’s home on Pine Trail around 5:45 p.m. Thursday, said Phyllis Stephens, a spokeswoman with the Wake County Sheriff’s Office.

Chavez was searching for his dog that had run away.

Stevens said the teen was located and appeared to be OK.
