RED SPRINGS, N.C. — Local and federal agents last week found 1,800 pounds of marijuana on a tractor-trailer parked in Hoke County, authorities said Tuesday.

Acting on a tip, investigators with the Hoke County Sheriff's Office, the Robeson County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives searched the tractor-trailer on June 30 and found the drugs hidden inside.

The marijuana had an estimated street value of $1.8 million, authorities said.

No arrests have been made in the case, which remains under investigation.
