Authorities charge six in slaying of Goldsboro woman
Police have charged six people with murder in connection with the shooting of a 21-year-old woman who was found dead in her minivan in Goldsboro on Oct. 31.
Posted — UpdatedPolice responding to a report of shots fired at about 3 a.m. near the intersection of Sixth and Humphrey streets found Shanekqua Adrianna Thompson, of Goldsboro, dead at the wheel of her minivan. The vehicle had crashed into woods along the road, and authorities said the van was hit by eight bullets.
Police said Friday that Thompson was shot multiple times during a car chase involving several cars. The homicide was connected to a shooting that was reported Oct. 28 at McDonald's and Waffle House locations on Wayne Memorial Drive.
Cequan Phillips, 22, and Rahmel Phillips, 24, both of 2524 Sapphire Place in Kinston, and Joshua Collins, 24, of 2315 Briarfield Road in Kinston, were arrested Thursday. All three were in the Wayne County jail Friday being held without bond.
Anthony Graham, 30, of 2217 Hawthorne Ave., surrendered to police Friday afternoon. He also was being held without bond.
Authorities are still searching for Kinston, Alquan Hill, 23, of 2709 Hodges Road in Kinston, and Davine Carr, 20, of 710 E. King St. in Kinston. They are charged with murder.
