At the fair: Say hi to new mascot, Casey Cardinal
The N.C. State Fair unveiled a new mascot this year to get folks excited about the annual event. It's Casey Cardinal, a red-winged mascot sporting a blue fair T-shirt.

The N.C. State Fair unveiled a new mascot this year to get folks excited about the annual event. It's Casey Cardinal, a red-winged mascot sporting a blue fair T-shirt.
Casey will be roaming the fair throughout the 11-day event and, I'm sure, posing for more pictures with kids than he can count.
He's also "sharing" his favorite fair stops on the fair's Deep Fried Blog, including a recent post on his favorite free fair activities.
