RALEIGH, N.C. — A widespread AT&T internet outage was impacting customers in Triangle towns on Friday morning.
The website downdetector.com showed a heat map with a concentration of outages of what appeared to be around the Raleigh and Charlotte areas. Several users on the site noted they were experiencing outages in North Carolina.

On Twitter, multiple people responded to WRAL reporter Sarah Krueger when she mentioned she was without internet service in Durham. WRAL got multiple messages from viewers voicing the same problem.

It's not known exactly how many AT&T subscribers in the area were impacted.

WRAL is working to learn more.
