The N.C. Museum of Art, which has a robust program for teens in the region and across the state, will hold teen poetry workshops next month.

The programs are scheduled for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., March 7 and March 14. They are free. Registration is required by March 1 for the March 7 program. It's due by March 7 for the March 14 program.

Here's a description from the art museum's website: "Find inspiration for poems in the Museum galleries. Exploring the creative process through writing, dialogue, and critique, participants will create poems that qualify for the Teens, Inspired competition. Attend one session or both, as they have different content."

The March 7 workshop will be taught by poet and INDY Week arts writer Chris Vitiello.
The March 14 workshop will be taught by poet, performer, and educator Dasan Ahanu.
Enrollment is limited. Call the museum box office at 919-715-5923 to register.
