Arson suspect sought by Johnston County authorities
Johnston County authorities are searching for a possible suspect and a vehicle used in the deliberate burning of a home Monday night.

ZEBULON, N.C. — Johnston County authorities are searching for a possible suspect and a vehicle used in the deliberate burning of a home Monday night.
Investigators want to question him about a fire at a home at 12771 N.C. Highway 96 North in Zebulon on Dec. 13. Crews were called out to the scene around 7:40 p.m. and took about a half hour to bring the blaze under control. No one was injured.
Investigators have labeled the fire as arson.
They have not said if the case might be linked to more than 35 arson fires set in Smithfield, Clayton and throughout the southern part of the county over the past year.
