Arrests made in case of slain body dumped at cemetery
Wayne County authorities said Friday that they have made three arrests in the case of a man who was beaten to death and dumped in a Princeton cemetery last month.

An employee of Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, off U.S. Highway 70 west of Goldsboro, discovered the body of Jamie Lee Hinson on the ground while arriving at work on the morning of Dec. 3, authorities said.
Steven Lynn Barbour, 29, of 909 Fourth St. in Goldsboro, was charged Thursday with murder in the case. Tara Leann Speaks, 29, and Joseph E. Lanier, 21, both of 909 Fourth St., were charged Friday with murder in the case.
All three were being held without bond Friday in the Wayne County Jail.
Hinson was last seen at the Doll Palace in Selma at about 2 a.m. Dec. 3, and the Wayne County Sheriff's Office recently released images from a security camera of a white van and people in the club's parking lot that night in an effort to generate leads.
Sheriff Carey Winders said investigators ultimately determined the van wasn't connected with the case. He declined to say what information led investigators to tie Barbour to the crime.
Barbour, Sparks and Lanier also were charged with two counts each of burning of certain buildings. An abandoned house at 418 Antioch Road in Goldsboro was burned on Dec. 27, resulting in about $40,000 in damage, and a workshop at 632 Wayne Memorial Drive in Pikeville was burned on Dec. 31, resulting in about $60,000 in damage, authorities said.
