APEX, N.C. — Police in Apex are asking for help finding a Johnston County man who hasn't been seen nor heard from since they say he texted his boss more than two weeks ago.

Raymond Alan Myers, 54, sent his employer the message Feb. 23, saying he was leaving his work vehicle in Greensboro, police said Tuesday. His cellphone signaled off a tower in Salisbury and his bank card was used the same day at a McDonald's in Burlington.

Myers, authorities said, has not been in contact with family members who live in Henderson County and Ohio. They are offering a $5,000 reward for information about his whereabouts.

Myers is white, stands 5 feet 9 inches, has a medium build and weighs approximately 160 to 170 pounds.

Investigators did not say if they found the vehicle in Greensboro, but they believe he might be driving a white 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with North Carolina license plate EL9012.

Anyone with information about Myers is asked to contact the Apex Police Department at 919-362-8661 or local law enforcement.
