I've been emailing back and forth with Cary Heise for (what is it now Cary) two years or so? Cary is the founder of N.C. Social Butterflies, a guide to kid and family events in the Triangle and Charlotte.

And she's now the creator of a T-shirt that's been really popular with lots of stay-at-home moms in the area. Her T-shirts emblazoned with the slogan "Stay at Home Rock Star" have been flying off the shelves at local boutiques and on her website.

So I was excited when I got the chance to finally meet Cary a few weeks ago to see her T-shirts and shoot this video.

Cary, the stay-at-home mom of two, has created fun T-shirts before (including one for her brother-in-law with his name and number on it when he was single). She'd been tossing around the idea of  printing a T-shirt that said "stay at home rock star" for herself. And she finally did it this summer. When her friends saw pictures of it on Facebook, they all wanted one too. And that's when Cary moved into the T-shirt business.

As Cary says on her website, she's not defining what a stay at home rock star is.

"Some moms think it is empowering, a pride thing and some think it means "my kids are cramping my style!" she writes.

She just hopes moms have fun with it!

You can find the shirts at a variety of local boutiques or order them online through Cary. Check her website for details at stayathomerockstar.com and hear from Cary in this video.

It was good to meet you Cary!
