Apex fire marshal involved in wreck
An Apex fire marshal was involved in a three-vehicle wreck on N.C. Highway 55 Friday morning, officials said.
Posted — UpdatedAPEX, N.C. — An Apex fire marshal was involved in a three-vehicle wreck on N.C. Highway 55 Friday morning, officials said.
At 11:18 a.m., Deputy Fire Marshal David Dillon drifted into the oncoming westbound lane of N.C. 55, hitting one vehicle and causing it to hit another vehicle, officials said. The reason he crossed the center line wasn't immediately clear.
Dillon was taken to WakeMed, and his condition is unknown. None of the people in the other two vehicles was injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
