WILMINGTON, N.C. — An Amber Alert issued Wednesday night for a 6-year-old Wilmington girl was canceled a day later after the girl was found alive.

Authorities said the girl disappeared from 5140 Carolina Beach Road.

Authorities believe her abductor may be a white or Hispanic man who was seen wearing a black, short-sleeve shirt with a dragon on it, black pants, boots and a black helmet. The man was last seen operating a black Moped.

Anybody with information is asked to call the New Hanover Sheriff's Office at 910-798-4260.

[Editor's note: In a previous version of this story, WRAL identified the victim in this case because she was the subject of a statewide Amber Alert. Due to new information, WRAL has taken the victim's name out of the story because WRAL usually does not identify the victims of sexual crimes.]
