For the past few months my family and I have been on a whirlwind adventure, one that I wasn’t allowed to talk about while it was going on. Tonight, the jig will be up.

It hasn’t been easy keeping this big part of my life under wraps for so many months, especially with my company’s push to have us share our personal lives on social media.

We participated in HGTV’s “Love It or List It.” If you aren’t already a big fan of the show and a weekend binge watcher like me, here’s the scoop: Interior designer Hilary Farr and real estate agent David Visentin vie for your desire to stay in your newly renovated home or successfully encourage you to move to a new home which better suits your needs. Along the way, they trade barbs and jokes each hoping he or she will be the one to sway the homeowners.

It was a whirlwind experience. We had to move out of our home during the process and spent many days working with Hilary on the renovation and touring homes with David. While it was most definitely a big undertaking for a family of four, I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. The crew we worked with was professional, polite and fun-loving which made the journey that much better.

Like the viewers, we will be seeing the show for the very first time tonight. Of course the question everyone is asking me is: “Did you love it or list it?” My lips are sealed … tune in to find out … and come back to WRAL on Tuesday for the photos!
