Africa region of NC Zoo remains closed
Zoo admission is half price while storm cleanup keeps Africa closed.

ASHEBORO, N.C. — Part of the North Carolina Zoo will be closed until further notice.
A storm damaged hundreds of trees last Thursday, along with signs, fences and doors, but fortunately no animals were hurt.
Crews managed to clean up the North American Exhibit, and that has re-opened, but the Africa Region will stay closed until further notice.
Until the entire park reopens, admission will be half price.
