A Particularly Warming Giving Tuesday Story

Today is Giving Tuesday, in which the nation is invited to give back to its communities. One particular charitable act in the Atlanta area struck me when I was reading the news this morning, that of Joel Hartman, a homeless man who's known as "hero" for returning a lost wallet. In response to his kindness, numerous well-wishers gave him sleeping bags and other supplies...and he turned right around and passed them along to other members of the homeless community in heed.

Hopefully he'll be back on his feet and snug under an Atlanta roof to call his own in the near future, as will others in need, but until then, those sleeping bags, meals, and other supplies will help people stay warm this winter.
