A pedestrian has life-threatening injuries after being struck near the intersection of Ramsey Street and Facility Drive in Fayetteville.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — A pedestrian has life-threatening injuries after being struck near the intersection of Ramsey Street and Facility Drive in Fayetteville.

Police responded at 11:13 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Martha T. Lockley, 76, hit a man named Jerry McDonald, age 72,  with her Mercury Sedan, according to officials at the scene.

McDonald remains at the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Ramsey Street has reopened completely, but was originally closed down to one lane of traffic as officials rerouted drivers while Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit conducted an investigation.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
