Pitt County deputies and state Highway Patrol troopers continued to search Thursday for six teens who escaped from a juvenile detention center.

<b>GREENVILLE, N.C.</b> — Pitt County deputies and state Highway Patrol troopers continued to search Thursday for six teens who escaped from a juvenile detention center.

Five boys and a girl escaped from the Pitt Regional Juvenile Services Center this week. Authorities said they believe four of the teens stole a state-owned vehicle, while two of the boys might have fled on foot.

Authorities are searching in several locations, including some woods near the jail.
