The scam offers taxpayers $80 to fill out an online customer satisfaction survey. Scammers can then use the information to steal your identity.

The IRS also recently warned Internet users about an e-mail scam that promises a tax refund and asks users to enter bank information.

IRS officials said they do not initiate contact with anyone through e-mail.

If you receive a suspicious e-mail, you are asked to forward it to government investigators at phishing@irs.org.
