Updated Rite Aid coupon policy

I just received an e-mail from the Rite Aid PR people informing me that Rite Aid has just updated their coupon policy. Couponers are not going to love the BOGO coupon policy. Here is the wording from the policy:

"Buy One Get One Free coupons cannot be used in conjunction with a Buy One Get One Free promotion."

In the past, all the drug stores have let us use a BOGO coupon with a BOGO sale which made both items free. Looks like that is not the case at Rite Aid anymore.  You can still use a BOGO coupon and a cents-off coupon on the same 2 items, but no more BOGO coupons with BOGO sales.

They do clarify another question that comes up with $/$$ purchase coupons (like $5 off a $25 purchase). Here is the wording from the policy:

"These coupons are accepted under the following conditions: Total purchase equals or exceeds $25 (for $5 off $25 example) before tax (before any coupons are applied)."

This seems to indicates that you can use the $5 off $25 coupon before the other coupons are scanned even if your total after other coupons brings your total below the $25 requirement. That is a good thing!

Take a look at the policy and please post if you see any other policy changes that may be issues for couponers or may make it easier to shop Rite Aid.
