Wow - guess how much I have saved this year on groceries?

I am very excited about the milestone we have reached with our grocery and drug store savings so far this year. I just finished entering the receipt from today's trip to Lowe's Foods and it brought my savings this year to $10,013.27! Reaching that $10,000 mark again this year is pretty thrilling - especially since I stayed within my weekly budget of $70. My average spent per week so far this year is $69.42.  

The best part is that we are still eating all the fresh fruits, veggies, whole grains and meats we should be eating - we just pay very little for all the other stuff!

I'll give you a final savings and spending total for the year in early January. Until then, I hope this motivates you to stay focused during the holidays. It is very easy to overspend on holiday meals and parties. Keep using those coupons and shopping those sales and don't use the holiday as an excuse to slack off. Yes, I'm talking to you! ha ha
