Frugal fun this weekend!

This weekend brings the African American Cultural Festival in downtown Raleigh, Kids Workshop at Home Depot, First Friday and more!

There are a number of fun activities this weekend including:

Kids workshop at Home Depot: Saturday, September, 4, between 9 am and noon. Free for kids 5-12. This Saturday the kids will be building a wooden football display.  Click HERE for the details.
African American Cultural Festival: The free festival is taking place on September 4 and 5 on Fayetteville Street from City Plaza to Davie Street in downtown Raleigh. There will be performances, art and food vendors and more! It looks like the festival begins at 11 am each day.  Click HERE for all the details about the festival.
First Friday Gallery Walk in Downtown Raleigh: Held on the first Friday of the month, you can take a  free self-guided tour of local art galleries, art studios and museums. Look for the First Friday Flags to  locate participating venues. A detailed map should be available at each location. Many galleries have live music and complimentary appetizers.
