BackPack Buddies food drive is Thursday - donate your extras!

Join 101.5 WRAL-FM on Thursday, August 19 as they collect donations for the Back Pack Buddies program that helps so many area children in need!

From the WRAL article at the link in the box:

"Over 91,000 children in a seven-county region rely on free or reduced lunches during the school year. The BackPack Buddies Program is designed to meet the needs of these children when other resources are not available by providing backpacks filled with enough food for six healthy meals and two healthy snacks that children take home on the weekend. The empty backpacks are collected after the weekend and refilled for the next weekend’s use."

In front of the Old Navy store in Crossroads shopping center in Cary from 6 AM - 6 PM

In front of Macy's in Crabtree Valley Mall on Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh from 6 AM - 6 PM

This is a great way to donate some of those extra items in your pantry from Super Doubles and all the other fabulous promotions from the last few weeks!

Pop-top canned foods (meats, tuna, fruits and veggies)

Individual sizes of crackers and cereal

Snacks like granola bars, oatmeal, breakfast bars

100% juice in cans, plastic bottles
