5 things you need to know about CineBistro in Cary

CARY, N.C. — The luxury movie theater/restaurant concept CineBistro will open its doors Friday in Cary's Waverly Place.

RESERVE YOUR SEATS EARLY - All seats are assigned, so go online and reserve your seats ahead of time to avoid any problems. The list of films playing and reservations for that weekend's shows are available after 4 p.m. every Tuesday.

ALL THEATERS ARE DINE AND RECLINE - All six theaters have plush reclining chairs and adjustable headrests. You have drink holders and trays for your food. Theaters open 30 minutes prior to your show time. You can look at the menu, place your order and then be served before the film starts. Once the movie starts, you will not be able to order food from your server. You can, however, go to the concession stand and order your food and drinks.

LEAVE THE CHILDREN AT HOME - You can bring your children to CineBistro to shows starting at 6 p.m. or earlier. After 7 p.m., no one under 21 years of age will be admitted to the venue.

ARRIVE HUNGRY - The food is all scratch-made and is a far cry from the regular "movie theater" food we are all used to getting. We got to sample some of the food and here is what you absolutely need to order: Bay Crab Dip, Lump Blue Crab Cakes, Roasted Beet Salad, House-ground Bistro Burger (or go for the Pimento burger!), Kimchi Fried Rice, Korean BBQ Chicken Wings and Crispy Brussel Sprouts. The Caramelized Banana Cheesecake was my favorite dessert. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options are also available so just ask your server. There are also hand-crafted cocktails on the bar menu. A portion of proceeds from a special cocktail (dubbed The Cure) and a select dessert will help raise money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund during the month of October.

GO 3-D - We checked out some previews for some upcoming films in the 3-D theater and it was amazing! Definitely recommend seeing any great action movie in there.

Note: There are two luxury theaters in Cary. CineBowl and Grille, which is a little more family-friendly with an arcade and bowling alley, is open in Parkside Town Commons.
