4 People Shot in Rocky Mount

Four people were shot in Rocky Mount Sunday afternoon. The shootings happened around 3 p.m. at the corner of Burton and Edwards streets.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Four people were shot in Rocky Mount Sunday afternoon.

The shootings happened around 3 p.m. at the corner of Burton and Edwards streets.

Two of the victims were airlifted to Pitt Memorial Hospital. Two other victims were transported to Nash General. All four men were listed in critical condition Sunday night.

Megan Hanks, public information officer for Rocky Mount, said police have a suspect in custody.

The names of the victims have not been released.
