Here are the products I bought this morning (9/12) and my totals. As you can see, I did not just go for the freebies (although I did score some great ones!). Before the sale today, I already had more than enough Ken’s Marinade and hot sauce to last a while. I focused instead on those items we use frequently that were very good deals including milk, cereal, pasta, cleaning supplies and granola bars, among other things. And I love the eggs deal! There is definitely a breakfast egg casserole on the menu for this weekend.
For information on where I got the coupons listed below, click the Harris Teeter Super Doubles deals list link in the box above.
Items I bought:
2 Total cereal - $1 printable coupons = 2 for FREE
2 Kashi granola bars $2.99 – $1.50/1 printable coupons (I posted about these on August 14 from Vocalpoint.com) = 2 for FREE
2 Silk Fruit & Protein drinks, quart, $2 - $1 printables = 2 for FREE
4 Wacky Mac pasta spirals, BOGO for $1 - $1/2 printable coupons = 4 for FREE
2 Stayfree pads, $3.89 - $2 coupons = 2 for FREE
1 Idahoan roasted garlic mashed potatoes pouch, free with Catalina coupon for a free pouch that printed out last week
2 Pillsbury Crescents, $1.75 - $1/2 coupon and .50/2 HT ZVR e-vic coupon and .50/2 savingstar credit = .25 each
4 Lysol toilet bowl cleaner BOGO for $1.38 each - $1/2 coupons = .38 each
4 Honey Bunches or Oats cereal, BOGO for $1.77 - $1/2 coupons = .44 each
2 Smart Balance milk, ½ gallon, $3.99 - $1.50 coupon = .99 each
2 Pagoda egg rolls, $3 - $1 coupon = $1
3 HT eggs, .97 e-vic price
I also used a $2 Catalina register coupon from Lowes Foods and it doubled when scanned!
Total I paid:
Total before sales and coupons: $86.56
Total saved: $77.15
Total paid: $9.41 (89% savings)
I bought 30 items which averages out to 31 cents per item! For milk! And eggs! And Kashi granola bars!
Do you think that Walmart would like to do a commercial comparing my Harris Teeter receipt to a Walmart receipt for those same items? I don't think so.
