NCCU student dead after being shot, crashing his car in Durham

A 22-year-old student at North Carolina Central University was found shot to death in his car in Durham on Thursday.

DURHAM, N.C. — A 22-year-old student at North Carolina Central University was found shot to death in his car in Durham on Thursday.

Police responded around 3:30 p.m. to a car crash on Rose Garden Lane.

When they arrived, they found a car had crashed into two parked, unoccupied vehicles.

They found Myles Gresham in the driver's seat, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe the shooting to be an isolated incident.

At this time, police do not have anyone in custody for the shooting.
