Now they've started the Pierced Forever Foundation to help other families. People need to be educated on, you know, the risks that they're taking with millions of products out there. CPSC Commissioner Rich Trumka says education is crucial because the new standards may not take effect for 18 months. What do parents do with the ones that are currently on the market. I wouldn't have them in my home and certainly if you do have them in your home, don't use them for sleep. The manufacturers Industry Group says it shares the cpsc's goal of ensuring products are as safe as they can be adding. Parents should always follow the manufacturer's instructions and only use infant loungers for supervised awake, time, asleep or awake. The goal is to make sure babies are safe.
