2 Robberies Reported at UNC Hospitals

A man is in custody after allegedly committing two robberies at UNC Hospitals on Wednesday night.

Man Commits 2 Robberies at UNC Hospitals
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A man is in custody after allegedly committing two robberies in parking araeas at UNC Hospitals on Wednesday night.

University police said the first robbery occurred on the first level of the Dogwood parking deck on Manning Drive shortly after 8 p.m.

About three hours later, a UNC Hospitals employee also reported being threatened and robbed in the parking lot directly in front of the hospital's main entrance.

Officers said Brian Douglas matches a suspect description in both robberies. Douglas is being held in the custody of the University of North Carolina-Chapel police.
